Many businesses have been affected by the Coronavirus crisis and the wedding industry is one of those that has taken the biggest hit. We have all been finding new and creative ways to help couples through this difficult time.
We’ve seen dressmakers making scrubs for NHS staff, event stylists creating face masks, make-up artists exploring new ways to make us feel good, photographers doing at home wedding shoots with housemates and many of the wedding community supporting each other with free resources and advice.
As a business relying on brides-to-be and their squads coming to our store, we have had to be innovative in our approach to helping you. For most of our time through lockdown we have been hosting daily, virtual Q & A and dress showings and I’ve even been letting you help choose my own wedding dress!
We’ve even given away a dress! We wanted to send a little light to a couple affected by the virus and held a competition to win a wedding dress. We asked you to tell us your proposal story and then we picked a random entry to win. It was beautiful reading all your stories and watching the support the brides gave to each other in the comments.
A huge congratulations to Maddy who won. We can’t wait to help you pick the dress of your dreams.
We are aiming to open in July in line with government guidelines and we can assure you your safety is our priority. We will be limiting attendees and offering all our brides things to help protect them on arrival such as gloves and our sanitising station.
If you’d like a virtual appointment, we are offering those at most times to suit you so please just drop us a message or email to ask and if you’d like to book in for when we reopen, please visit our contact form.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our NHS, key workers, delivery drivers, supermarket staff and everyone else working so hard to keep us all going! Partycraft Balloons and I have created a beautiful window display as a thank you. We hope if you pass the shop front, it’ll bring a smile!
